Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Rail Junction helps you find direct and connecting trains in India. We want you to know exactly what happens to your information. The short version: we do not ask for your name, phone number or any account, and we do not sell your information.

1. Your searches stay on your device

When you search, the website downloads the train timetable and the list of places to your phone or computer, and the route search runs there, inside your browser. The places and dates you search for are not sent to us and we do not keep a record of them.

2. Place search for small places

If our own list of places does not find what you type, the website asks a free place-search service built on OpenStreetMap (Photon, run by komoot) to look up the words you typed. That service receives the text you typed and, like any website, your device's internet address. Its use is covered by komoot's own privacy policy.

3. Feedback

If you use the Feedback button, your email app opens with a message to us. When you send it, we receive your email address, your message and the search you were looking at. We use this only to improve Rail Junction and, if needed, to reply to you. We do not add you to any mailing list. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.

4. Hosting

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your internet address and browser type to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. We do not use this to identify you.

5. Cookies

Rail Junction does not use cookies or tracking for advertising. If we later add visitor statistics, advertising or links that earn us a commission (for example for hotels or buses), we will update this policy first and explain what changes.

6. Links to other websites

We link to IRCTC and other websites, for example to book tickets. Once you leave Rail Junction, that website's own privacy policy applies.

7. Children

Rail Junction is meant for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and raise a complaint. Write to us at your-email@example.com and we will reply as soon as we can, normally within 30 days.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
